  • Do I need a home inspection?
While a home inspection isn't required, it can give you a good idea on what is going on with the systems and structure of a home. A home inspection is a great overview to what things may need attention when purchasing a home or getting a bill of heath on your current home.
  • What is included in a home inspection?
All major systems, HVAC, water, electrical, roof, foundation, interior, attached garages, and more are included in a home inspection. It is worth noting that if a system is inaccessible, it cannot be thoroughly inspected and will reflect on your report as such. Exterior structures such as sheds, barns, garages, fences, gazebos, carports, etc. are not included in a standard home inspection.
  • Is a home inspection required?
Not necessarily. The independent inspections that we provide are for YOU. Your bank or other home agency may require their own inspection, but the inspections we provide are to bring information for you, the (potential) homeowner.
  • Where do you inspect?
NW Missouri, SW Iowa, NE Kansas, and everywhere in between. (SW Nebraska coming soon!)
  • When should I schedule my home inspection?
You should schedule your inspection after an offer has been submitted and approved, and before the closing date. You set the time you'd like us to inspect, and we'll take care of the rest!
  • How do I schedule my home inspection?
Its super easy with our online tool!
  • Should I attend the inspection?
Although not required, it is recommended that you attend the home inspection. It is a great way to get a good idea on the health of a home, and can give you expanded info beyond a written inspection report.
  • Should I share my home inspection?
The home inspection we provide is for you, the client. You are not required to share the inspection with any buyer/seller agent, lender, title company, or bank. These agencies may ask for an inspection report, and it is up to you, the client whether to share it or not. In your inspection report, there may be language to consult a professional further- it may be helpful to share your inspection report with qualified contractors for potential work that may need to be done to a home.
  • What is the report?
The report is a visual overview of the systems and structure of the home. The report will outline the flaws and issues within the home. If applicable, there will also be photos and videos outlining any issues. A printed out version of the report can be provided for an additional charge.
  • How long does an inspection take?
A typical inspection for a standard 2000 sq ft home takes around 2.5 hours. The larger the house, the more stores a home has, or the more complex the construction, the longer it may take.
